Amoxycillin and Potassium Clavulanate Injection (I.P.) is a broad-spectrum penicillin-type antibiotic combination used for moderate to severe bacterial infections. 
Primary Uses
This medication targets bacteria that have developed resistance to amoxycillin alone.
    • Respiratory Infections: Severe pneumonia and acute bronchitis.
    • Post-Surgical Prophylaxis: Prevents infections after major surgeries (gastrointestinal, pelvic, head, and neck).
    • Severe Systemic Infections: Bone and joint infections (osteomyelitis), intra-abdominal sepsis, and complicated urinary tract infections (UTIs).
    • Skin and Soft Tissue: Severe cellulitis and animal bites. 

Administration Protocol
  • Method: Given only as a slow intravenous (IV) injection (3–4 minutes) or an infusion (30–40 minutes).
  • Strict Warning: It must be administered by a healthcare professional; never self-administer.
  • Stability: Once reconstituted with sterile water, it should be used immediately (usually within 20 minutes).
